Additive manufacturing (AM) processes are not solely used where maximum design freedom meets low lot sizes. Direct microstructure and topology optimization can be realized concomitantly during processing by adjusting the geometry, material composition, solidification behavior of considered. However, when complex specific requirements have to met, a targeted part is highly challenging. In field biodegradable implant surgery, cytocompatible an application-adapted shape has characterized degradation reliably predictable mechanical properties. For instance, small amounts oxides significant effect on microstructural development, thus likewise affecting strength corrosion processed material. present study, biocompatible pure Fe was using electron powder bed fusion (E-PBF). Two different modifications were incorporating oxide Ce in proportions order assess their impact evolution, response behavior. The quasistatic chemical properties analyzed correlated with final appearance.
